(IsraelNN.com) Senior military sources admit that the leak to the press regarding a planned military offensive in PA-controlled Gaza may indeed result in abandoning portions of the mission if not the entire operation.
The leak of the major operation was the second in recent weeks -- resulting in the revaluation of a planned operation. A commando mission intended to apprehend the murderers of Minister Rechavam Ze'evi from Yasser Arafat's Mukata headquarters was canceled recently, after it was learned PA officials received advanced warning of the mission.
The army was planning a military retaliatory assault into Gaza following this week's fatal bomb attack in the Sheffield pool hall in Rishon L'Tzion. At this time, based on announcements from senior IDF officials, the mission may be placed on hold or canceled.
